Explore each benefit below to learn what’s covered and how these plans can help protect your finances when unexpected events occur.

Whether you’re recovering from an accident, facing a serious illness, or experiencing a hospital stay, MetLife’s voluntary benefits provide cash benefits paid directly to you. You can use the money however you need, including medical expenses, household bills, childcare, transportation, groceries, or other everyday financial needs.

These plans supplement your medical coverage—they do not replace it. They are not major medical coverage and do not qualify as minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act

Don’t forget your $50 Health Screening Benefit! All three plans include a $50 benefit for completing an eligible preventive health screening—helping offset the cost of your premiums and putting cash back in your pocket. Collect up to $150 if enrolled in all plans.

Enroll in Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity

Voluntary plans like Critical Illness, Accident and Hospital Indemnity pay a cash benefit directly to you when you or a covered dependent experience a health event like an illness, diagnosis, or an accident.

These are separate from primary medical plan and do not count as minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act and are not a substitute for major medial coverage. However, they help cover costs not typically covered by a major medical plan, like lost wages, transportation, and child care. You can also use the cash you receive to pay for your medical plan deductible and coinsurance.

This is 100% employee-paid benefit.
